its been a while since i've last updated this.. nothing much's been happening.. other than classes.. and studying.. and this coming week, tests.. 3 in all.. the only thing that i'm looking forward to is the 4 day weekend coming up.. thanks to independence day.. i believe friday should be a short day too coz of the safety stand down.. just a lecture for just about everyone in base about safety during the weekend and stuffs like that.. haha.. might just be heading up to atlanta this weekend.. yay.. road trip! stress level's going up.. hanging there! for now at least.. hai.. kiyakaha..

i've concluded the 1st week of primary in VT-4.. things aren't that bad.. attended a handfull of briefs and classes.. had meteorology test on friday.. managed to get a 98%.. someone once said, 'a good beginning makes a good end'.. i hope he is right.. hah.. my class had a meeting with our skipper and XO.. twas a long but interesting talk.. we had our 'callsign presentation' with them as well.. so what is a callsign? haha.. well.. i'm sure most of you cool cats and satin tabbies have heard of maverick, goose and iceman? yup.. these are callsigns.. kinda like nicknames if u will.. i always thought that callsigns were given so that actual names are shouted over the comms in times of war or ops.. you'll never know who's listening.. well.. skipper said something like 'this bridges gaps between aviators and minimises crew relation management problems..' i kinda get the drift.. well.. the XO gave me 'Fabio'.. the rest wanted to call sean and i yin and yang (which i find totally cliched and unoriginal and unflattering).. the XO was like 'ok.. so who will be yin and who will be yang?'.. at that moment, i just blurted out.. 'i dunno.. i'm just the good looking one..'.. XO went.. 'that's a Fabio right there!'.. and poof.. i'm now Fabio.. cool.. haha.. another super busy week ahead.. onto T-6 aircraft systems now.. onward!

a video of me.. here's what happens.. a 450ft line it attached to an F250 truck and myself.. the truck takes me up to about 200ft and the line is disconnected at the truck's end.. i come drifting down at about 20 ft/sec and perform the parachute landing fall.. this is my 2nd ride..

yup.. its the last week of API.. which means, i'm starting primary next week.. its off to VT-4.. where i'll learn to pilot the T-6 Texan.. funny thing.. it's an air force plan operated by the navy.. looking forward to it, but at the same time, hoping that it doesn't come so soon! i'm just really starting to enjoy API but that's about to end.. tons of studying to do again once i start primary.. but i've been told that flying contacts in primary is fantastic.. lets see.. for the past couple of weeks, i've been busy with sea survival, helo dunker, para drills and preparing for tml's live helo hoist and wednesday's parasailing/chuting.. that's the final part of aviation preflight inoculation.. 7 weeks here.. many many more to go.. chins up, heads high, fly on.
