its my 21st birthday today.. and i spent it at dmv, getting my driver's license.. yup.. passed as expected.. and it cost me a total of.. US$50.. hah.. all you guys in singapore with a class 3 license.. hah.. less than a hundred bucks.. the only thing is that i only know how to drive and auto car.. although if i convert it to a singapore license (by taking the basic theory test), there's no restriction to manual or auto.. drove to alabama to check cars out.. nothing catches my eye yet.. happy birthday to myself.. alone in the us of a.. happy birthday..

i'm in pensacola now.. its 1905hrs, 120406.. (that's 0805hrs, 130406 in singapore).. it was a long trip.. 16hrs from changi to LA, waited for 6 hours at LAX before flying to Dallas.. waited for another 2 hours before flying to pensacola.. whether here's slightly cooler than home.. except when the wind blows, it feels like u are getting a blast of airconditioning.. i'll up load pictures another day.. haven't slept ever since i left singapore (not including some microsleeps in between).. will update again soon.. thank goodness i have internet in my bunk.. haha..

time to update.. things that happened.. ok.. there was this little birthday get-together at my aunt's.. a couple of close friends came as well.. lots of medicals for my trip.. and i am glad that i have cleared them all.. and the highlight.. gfet.. that's g force environmental training.. i think.. you know.. that thingy that spins people about a really high speeds? i did 6 profiles, 2 of them reaching 9gs.. that's 9 x gravity.. so if i weigh 90kg, i experienced a pressure of 810kg.. i almost passed out on the rapid onset to 9gs.. but managed to hold on for the 15 sec duration even though i couldn't see anything anymore.. its funny how your vision would tunnel, then go black, even though your eyes are wide open.. i was performing the agsm with all my might (this action minimises blood pooling in my lower limbs and forces blood up to my head.. or almost.. i was pretty fatigue by the time i reach the rapid onset to 9g profile.. at high gs, the pressure acting on me was so great, i actually felt tremendous pain on my extremities.. this must be the longest and most painful half hour of my life.. but i'm glad i passed it.. i cannot begin to imagine the consequenses of me passing out and failing gfet.. might mean that my trip would be delayed or worst, cancelled.. i was feeling totally motion sick the moment i stepped off the machine.. that's how badly the spinning screwed up my vestibular system.. funny how i was feeling just fine while in the ride.. dad came and sent me home after the ordeal.. thank goodness.. rested at home for a while before heading out to town (still feeling sick) to meet zhen.. she looked fantastic as usual.. had a nice western dinner at hereens before heading over to cine to have our pictures taken.. gonna keep those in my wallet to keep me sane in the states.. watched a late show after having so much fun at the picture booth.. funny how the japs can come up with all these weird stuff.. ice age 2 was pretty entertaining.. especially the poor sabre tooth squirrel.. haha.. leaving for the states on tues onboard SQ20 to LA's Tom Bradley international.. before transiting on american airlines flight to dallas.. before transiting to pensacola via AA.. woah... gonna miss you guys.. will be back end of 2007.. gonna miss you too zhen..
