my days are becoming more monotonous thanks to work.. i kinda do the same old things day in and out.. quite an insult to all the training that i've been through over the past year.. but it has given me a chance to communicate and interact with a certain vip... =) without sms and msn, i'll be a wreck.. if u r reading this, u shud know why.. =P i wish i have a more exciting job.. but on the other hand, i'm thankful for the 8-5 working hours so that i can spend more time with my loved ones... contradictions..

today... has got to.. be the.. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.. haha.. went to the zoo with anlin today.. haven't been there since i was a kid.. changed quite abit.. walked around e entire place, took the tram.. the animal show was great! the seals are so intelligent.. we saw e orang utans in their enclosure.. one was playing with a piece of rag.. so adorable.. we reached e zoo at about 10 plus and left about 330pm.. sent her home and... ahaha.. for me to know.. 29/01/05 1615hrs!

no longer oct chia chi yu typing furiously at the computer here at the cadets' mess, ocs.. i know i probably shouldn't be here but.. what the heck.. haha.. yesterday's commissioning parade was indeed a once in a life time experience.. the joy that rushed through my veins as my peak cap left the grasp of my finger tips and sailed haphazardly into the evening sky.. the hoots of joy and congratulatory hugs exchanged.. the energy was tremendous.. at long last, doning the rank of 2Lt.. anlin came down to witness the commissioning.. felt kinda guilty to have here come all the way down to safti mi, then rush back to work.. but one thing's for sure, her presence really sweetened the entire event.. Thanks!! some of the guys came down too, since darius and i are commissioning on the same parade square.. the dinner after e parade was average but hey.. i've got no complaints.. the 23rd of jan.. one day that i'll never forget..

great.. just lost a long entry.. -_-" now i gotta start over again... happy birthday mummy... 2 more days to commissioning... 101203.. entered bmt as a blur recruit.. 230105.. graduating from OCS as a young officer.. how time flies.. gives me alot to ponder about.. been doing abit of rading lately.. got a novel called Sharkman Six by Owen West.. quite a readable book.. about a platoon commander in US marine recon posted in somalia.. realised that officership isn't as simple as it seems.. one has gotta deal with all those politics both above and below.. and that u are directly responsible for the actions of your men.. gives me something to ponder about.. gonna start on my running regime.. ran 2.4km in camp today.. not too good a timing.. 10:13.. haha.. how terrible is that.. can't wait for commissioning parade and commissioning ball.. think its gonna be great.. think i'll end here.. gonna go sleep le...

booked out at about lunch time today.. didn't do much in the morning.. mainly because we had dining in till late last night.. a couple of the guys were pretty banged up by all tt wine last night.. i barely had a glass of red wine last night and my face was crimson.. one of the many reasons why i don't like to drink.. got my sword and certificate in an elaborate ceremony that lasted several hours... brought one heck of a lot of things home from camp.. figured that if i don't start packing my stuff, i'd need to hire a truck to pick up my stuff on commissioning day.. no plans for the weekend.. how loser is that.. another week to commissioning.. i should be partying had basically having a great time.. but.. bleah.. not as excited/happy as i should be.. lets see how my new posting is like.. disappointed, yes.. but.. no choice.. unless i sign on.. (which i am seriously considering at this moment..) think i'll end here..

sigh.. in camp now.. gotta go back to the cookhouse for another dining in rehearsal.. 4th one in 2 days.. ACPC's tml.. got my posting.. its f**ked up.. posted to ocs hq as a project officer.. a frigging deak job!! how f***ed up is that?! giving me a office job is like amputation.. i almost cried when i got the posting.. pc said that i was posted there coz i'm a pending pilot so if they posted me to unit, it'll be screwed if they suddenly pull me out to go to tamworth for basic airgrading.. its ok for the short run but.. if i don't make pilot, i'd be stuck in this bullshit for the rest of my NS term! what a gamble.. sigh.. this sucks.. don't know why but the posting results seems to affect me as much as when i just broke up with my gf in 2003.. being outfield means alot to me.. i want to get dirty and muddy again.. or at least at where the action is, not behind some stupid desk typing on the computer.. man this sucks..

gonna be back on camp in a couple of hours.. booked out late this week.. about 4pm on saturday.. thanks to commissioning parade rehearsal.. met garrie, casey, janice, ghim, aaron and dale at cine in the evening.. had jap for dinner then headed to harry's at the esplanade to chill.. gab and junyi met us there while ghim and janice went home.. this dude by e name of paul ponnudorai (or something like that) was performing on stage.. pretty good i must say, esp his guitar skills.. didn't have any alcohol (as usual).. we left harry's at about 130am.. casey, aaron, dale and myself headed to al ameen's at bukit timah for supper.. cheese and mushroom prata's fantastic.. haha.. got home about 330am and crashed till 12pm.. =oP commissioning in 2 weeks time.. appointment certificate presentation ceremony (acpc) is on friday.. that's when we get our swords.. our posting results will be out this coming week as well.. really hope i will not be disappointed with my posting results.. bleah.. comms parade on the 23rd, comms ball on the 28th.. its all coming to an end le! P.O.P LOH!!!

didn't do much over this quiet new year.. spent my book out at home mostly.. spent my saturday at frank's house, trying to finsih up the commissioning magazine.. what a way to spend the new year huh? back to camp in a couple of hours.. things going on next week.. commander's parade rehearsals and commander's parade, commander's stand by bed.. still have 8km fast march and 10km run for the infantry proficiency badge.. there's a waltz class sometime next week as well.. will be doing the waltz for our commissioning ball come jan 28th.. this cohort's commissioning ball will be a different one.. in the past, comms ball is just like prom, just eat and leave.. this time, its sort of like a victorian military ball.. don't really know what to expect but should be something fresh.. just hope we don't step on our partners' toes too many times.. bleah.. =oP
